NATURAL, EFFICIENT, MODERN...OLD
Every year the employees of the Mill would gather for a group picture on the north side of the building. This tradition plus the Bayrisch language spoken in the Mill continued for many years. This picture is the oldest employee photo at the Woolen Mill. The employees are shown with the products manufactured in 1903 which were socks, wool batting, mittens, blankets and yarn.
From its beginnings in 1894, servicing local sheepherders, to knitting socks for the doughboys in Europe, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has served its Country and Community for over one-hundred years.
