NATURAL, EFFICIENT, MODERN...OLD
The Mill flourished in the 80's with increasing tourism in Frankenmuth. The retail store underwent a major make-over with new lighting, carpeting, dressing rooms and a Bavarian paint job. Machinery was repaired and refurbished and the back wall of the retail store was removed and glass put in for viewing wool processing.
From its beginnings in 1894, servicing local sheepherders, to knitting socks for the doughboys in Europe, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has served its Country and Community for over one-hundred years.
